Back To Work!

After our walk it was a return to gardening. Brigg was during that time gainfully employed in digging craters in the beds, no less than three and having tired of that occupation turned his attention to my gardening tools which miraculously disappeared only to be located in various parts of the garden! Some time was spent on my knees weeding the entire length of the brick path in readiness to apply a weedkiller to keep any future weeds at bay for a few weeks. The slabs of another path at the end of the garden had become so uneven that there was a distinct possibility of an impending accident so I decided it was time to address the situation, no easy matter as the concrete slabs are 2ft square and very heavy. The problem was caused by tree roots lifting the slabs, it took me some time to cut through the roots and build up the soil level to ensure an even path and re lay the slabs but the job was completed and I was well pleased with the result by which time Kai was barking his disapproval at having his mealtime extended, he does have a very accurate body clock especially when it comes to mealtimes!
