So, what of the show itself? We had great pitches close to the water, loos and rings, fairly near to the wooded exercise area (too near the road plus added distractions, ie. deer and rabbits for comfort) but a long haul to the open fields which meant being hauled along with the dogs on lead tugging on my ever lengthening arms (so it felt) in their anxiety to be free, the walk back was considerably more restrained! The courses were varied, some very easy and others difficult, enough said that Kai won the first clear round rosette of the day in grade 6 jumping after the competition had been in progress for some 40 minutes, he went on to gain 9th place. We were not overly successful but had some nice rounds with several clears. Sara and Lolly won a jumping class and Sue achieved her ambition with Hooch by winning into grade 4 on the last day. Both Sue and Sara qualified for the small Finals, a great achievement and although Lolly was eliminated she was great crowd entertainment, Hoochie pinged his dog walk in an otherwise excellent round.
