A swarm of bees created an interesting diversion when they chose to settle in the trunk of an ancient oak tree in the parking area. A bee keeper was sent for and it took him a great deal of time in persuading the bees to move from their chosen spot. Despite being smoked out they did not like his basket and eventually after being sprayed with water (bees apparently don't like rain) the colony was persuaded to take refuge in a slightly tilted upturned cardboard box! At one point the bee keeper had more bees on his back than were in the box and a security guard kindly volunteered to brush him down! The bee keeper was delighted to leave with his free swarm to add to his colonies.
